“I’ve actually visited El Paso, Texas a couple times and once my sister/“tourguide” walked us across the border to Cuidad Juárez for a day. I remember seeing those crosses all around and had a sense of unease (I’m talking we went only a few years ago).
Love the deep dive the journalists take and the description of the location takes me right back.
