“Awesome Super Podcast - best one going!
An idea for some content over the next few weeks: get big Murray Douglas on for a chat. He’s having an unreal season at the Brums - huge part of their tight five dominance and superb start to the season. Also been on an incredible rugby journey to get to where he is today. Sure you know some of the details (overviewed also below) but you should get him on to explain - a pretty unique story in Super.
Keep up the great work!
Moved from Edinburgh to Melbourne in 2014 as a fully rained Lawyer with his Doctor girlfriend (now fiance) after not quite making it with Edinburgh in his early 20s, played club rugby in Melbourne for the Rising while continuing his day job as a lawyer, was picked up by the Rebels to hold the tackle bags in pre-season (taking unpaid leave from work), got offered a one year contract by the Rebels, accepted it and quit his job, had a tough season with injury but played 3 times and then got cut in the whole mess with the Force at the end of that year, played Mitre 10 for Northland in the Super off season, got picked up by the Hurricanes (7 apps), played for Northland again and has now been at the Brumbies for two seasons (with a stint at Edinburgh last winter as World Cup Cover). Genuinely an awesome story and reckon people would be interested to hear it properly!”
