Description
In this episode, we’re talking about Boiling Point (2021) with its brilliant director, Philip Barantini. Boiling Point stars Stephen Graham and Vinette Robinson and was nominated for 4 BAFTAs and won 4 BIFAs. The story follows head chef, Andy Jones (Graham), on a busy night in his restaurant while he balances endless personal and professional crises that threaten to destroy everything he's worked for. And it’s all one shot. We talk about Phil’s own experiences as a head chef and how he used them to construct the story. With the recent announcement of Boiling Point being turned into a series, we find out how this film is being adapted for TV. Next week we’ll be discussing Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022) directed by Daniel Kwan, available to watch on Amazon Prime. Episode transcript is available here.
