This really shouldn’t work as a podcast
Role playing game rules are dull, they’re the least interesting part of any RPG. They’re either too complex, too simple, or just get in the way of having fun whilst you wait for someone to find the rules for how a fireball works. Conceptually, this should be as interesting as listening to four friends discussing the instruction manuals for different brands of coffee machines. But it’s not. Probably like all the best podcasts, the joy and enthusiasm of the participants makes this a real pleasure to listen to. Contributors are genuinely arguing the case for their favourite rules, and the host and Traveller RPG fanboy, Dave, adds humour and a sense of direction. The whole thing also feels like a massive extended surreal joke.
