This EC works by blocking or delaying ovulation. However, if taken after ovulation, there is a higher failure rate. A recent study showed increased efficacy of levonorgestrel when given with a COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID). Please join us as we discuss the results of the randomized controlled trial, including the efficacy of levonorgestrel when taken with piroxicam and their potential to reduce EC failure.
