Decent Material, Wretched Presentation
Clearly a lot of work and research was put into this podcast. However it’s all overshadowed by the delivery of the host, who did much of the research and reporting, but would have been better off curbing his ego and allowing just about anyone else preset it. He lays the professional broadcast voice on way too thick, he insists on referring to you as “dear listener” multiple times an episode, he refers to episodes as “transmissions”, he leans into the word “shi+” like a 3rd grader saying it in the schoolyard trying to impress his little buddies, for some reason he’s constantly referring to how various interviewees would be portrayed in a movie- which brings nothing to the table and he tries to be funny and chuckles at his own, unfunny material. I got to around the 25 minute mark of Episode 3 before I finally pulled the plug. There’s better material out there, don’t waste your time with this.
