Guilt
I love Corinne and her connection to the histories that are a part of all our experiences, conscious and unconscious. However, it almost sounds like she is feeling white guilt because of these histories of great pain and harm when she herself is the furthest thing from racist. Release from PTSD is an inside job. Living in the story perpetuates the guilt. We are sinless. We are wholly innocent. We are all God’s children. We are all siblings. The soul behind the eyes is all that matters in truth. Identity politics will only serve to keep us separate. It is time to shed superficial assessments. Actions always speak louder than words.
