This is our sixth episode of series four, LGBTIQ+ movies and queer representation. Please check out our introductory episode for this series for a broader understanding of concepts we will discuss in this episode.
Jarrad and Sarah begin discussing news in the community specifically statistics surrounding homophobic slurs in teenage males. Next we spoke about the lack of movies exploring the identities that fit under plus and their accessibility.
The plus includes various sexual and gender identities that aren't portrayed under the LGBTI acronym including pansexual, asexual, poly-amorous and two spirit (or other cultural genders).
We explore key themes and concepts in the movies 'The miseducation of Cameron Post' and 'Professor Marston and The Wonder Women'. We also discuss 'You can't ask that' and it's episode on Intersex which features on ABC iView.
