Embarassing
One of the hosts is ok but the other. Wow. The single worst podcaster I've ever heard. He comes off incredibely amatureish yet he says he does 50 podcasts. That's just scary. He's not funny. But he makes unfunny jokes CONSTANTLY. You can tell the other host thinks they aren't funny because most the the time he doesn't laugh at them then there's an awkward silence and then the host laughing at his own joke. Almost every joke works this way. Even when he did a joke with the opening song which in and of it self was fine but then he had to go out of his way to say he did a joke which just made it unfunny. Also his laugh is really annoying I understand that's not something he can control but when it constantly comes after his own unfunny jokes it's just irratating. Now that's not the biggest problem. The biggest nails against chalkboard I want to scream at my mp3 player problem is how bad he is at critical thinking. I almost feel bad for him because he clearly doesn't have any idea what critical thinking or analyzing is. The best example I can come up with is he nit picked a minor logic jump in the MMPR movie and when the other host told him he was just nitpicking he replied by saying he was just looking at it with a critical eye. No. Looking at it with a critical eyewould be adressing the fact that no one in the entire film has a character arc or that the villain lacks a motivation or that the great power is both all powerful and at the same time seems to do nothing. The fact that he thinks a small nit pick is critically analyzing is quite frankly insulting. This persists through out the entire show that he brings up minor inconsistancies and says he's being critical but ignores actual problems. Also when the host discuses the series he just reads the wikipedia entry. He couldn't even bother to take notes on the show he's supposed ot be reviewing. And it's not liek he just had wikipedia up for a quick refference he just reads wikipedia verbatum and often says he doesn't even remember the thing he's reading about. I listened to this because there aren't really any other podcasts going throught the power rangers series. Sadly this elemetery level podcast is the only thing there is. I shudder to think what the host's 50 other podcasts sound like. You'd think 50 in he'd have gained some level of maturity or professionalism.

Just Morphinominal through and through. This podcast was actually my first exposure to GeekCast Radio and opened the door for me to discover other great GCRN podcasts like The Beast Unleashed (yes TFG1-Mike, all roads *do* lead back to the low road no matter what any naysayers may say),...Read full review »
