How to Get Out of a Rut: Let's Talk About Burnout
Listen now
Description
I dive head first into burnout this week and break down what burnout is and what it does to our bodies on a deeper level. Burnout puts us in a state of fight or flight, and for those of us who have been experiencing burnout for several years, the physiological effects can be extreme.  For women, burnout comes as a consequence of operating in a state of masculine energy for a prolonged period of time. For some of us, this goes back years and years into our pasts, where we have been trying to achieve the narrative that has been put before us ever since we were little girls. Stepping away from a place of burnout is difficult because, as we remove the layers of masculine energy, it takes some of our identity with it. The things that we were using to identify ourselves were defined by our ability to continue in a state of energy that does not come naturally to us. The best way out of this season is to look within. Sometimes, our body has to turn inward in order to be able to expand outward. If you’re experiencing burnout, I encourage you to surrender to the process of finding rest and acceptance in this journey.  Tune in to this episode to hear more about burnout, how we can navigate it, and how we can build ourselves back up after we’ve taken the time to recover.
