Future Ecologies is everything we don’t know we need. I started this with just wanting to learn more about our relationships with plants and animals and I got so much more than that. Adam and Mendel are incredibly thoughtful, intentional, and empathetic. From the very beginning this podcast is not afraid to acknowledge their social positioning and invite the listener to understand the importance of their journeys on decolonization. This podcast is the closest embodiment of contemporary decolonization at work I’ve heard so far. Every episode I am left inspired, excited, sometimes upset (not from them but just hearing about how we got to this point as a species). And what’s really comforting is that I don’t feel alone. Adam and Mendel are very authentic and honest, and it makes listening to this a place of comfort. Also it would be criminal not to acknowledge the incredible sound design and music. It’s hard to believe it’s self produced. Thank you to everyone that contributes to Future Ecologies, it’s a truly beautiful experience.

This podcast weaves history, biology, and memory into a bid to understand what's next. Colour me intrigued as to where they go next. Very well made too, which is always nice.Read full review »
