“I love the subject matter of this podcast. I have always been obsessed with futurism and this podcast provides great insights into the possibilities coming to us down the line. My only qualm is the delivery can sometimes be painful to listen to. The host Lauren Vogelbaum seems obligated to give a disingenuous fake laugh at every pseudo-joke that is thrown out there, which can become very grating after a while considering there are a lot of terrible jokes thrown out. Don’t get me wrong, the bad jokes are part of the charm of this show, it just gets to be quite perturbing when fake laughter is a once-a-minute occurrence. I find myself laughing occasionally, and I can see they are trying to keep this very tech-heavy podcast interesting with some humor, but they really don’t have to try so hard. That being said, this show explores some amazing topics—I would love to see how they do their research because so much of what they discuss seems to be out of the mainstream eye. Give it a listen and see for yourself. If you enjoy futurism and can stomach the often cringe-worthy humor, this podcast might be for you.”
