Not as enjoyable as it used to be.
In my opinion the podcast has slipped a bit recently. Obviously the draft analysis is very good and informative but occasionally it devolves into Sam crowing about how early he was on something (did we really need to hear about how early he texted Adam about the Nuggets promise in 2 episodes?) or how he has some information for Adam that he can’t mention on the pod and will tell him offline. How about this, just do the whole conversation offline? Sam has some annoying verbal tendencies that have become more grating over time. Spacing…words…out..and then inflecting at the end to make something sound like a question that…isn’t…a…question. Every person he mentions he either loves, is the best or is a wonderful human being. Schindler’s reply to this? “Um, no, yeah. One hundred percent.” Schindler is the least listenable of the three. He’s either claiming his favourite player is a benchwarmer who played before he was even born or going on an unprovoked diatribe against some hypothetical narrative or discourse that he’s just so sick of seeing or hearing about that he has to spend 5 minutes talking about it. It’s a real shame as I used to love the podcast but find I’m not listening as much as I used to.

Sam is wonderful. A super smart podcast that touches on every important level of basketball. A great catch all. Especially when the guys from The Step Back and Reegs come on. Also top notch intro music.

Often too long-much prefer 1 hour or less-good knowledge but constant use of expletives particularly his love of f-word detracts from podcast

Sam is the best host of any basketball podcast. Always insightful with terrific guests. If you are a fan of basketball, be it NBA, NCAA or high school, you need to listen.
