Consistently Wicked Tunes...
While I can't say that I love listening to Gareth's voice... I do LOVE the tunes he selects. Every episode is an awesome mix that flows smoothly from start to finish, quite often swinging out to some house or techno tracks, but always staying close the the trance-y core. Even better, you don't get nearly as many stupid advertisements of what you are in fact listening to, just the track names, artist names and labels. Very useful for finding stuff later. Finally, as a matter of personal preference, Gareth DOESN'T near-mute the tunes while he talks. He basically talks over the tracks, for a very brief period, while down mixing the midrange I think. End result is that the commentary, little as it is, doesn't interfere nearly as much with the tunes. This is how an trance podcast should sound. Other DJ's take note (I'm looking at you Matt Darey... shape up!) So, if you like your trance, and you like new tunes and sweet remixes: Download this!

More reviews of Gareth Emery

It's for the ones who are out till 10 am. it's for the guys who love party drugs and laser lights. It's for...Read full review »
