Victim mentality
Unfortunately, this show did not resonate with me, and it is important to note that I only listened for fifteen minutes. Within that brief timeframe, the hosts repeatedly used the terms triggering, homophobic, and transphobic. It is disheartening to witness hosts who believe that ‘woke’ generalizations are essential and that adopting a victim mentality should define their show. As a gay man, I’m disappointed that a significant portion of the gay community has embraced this way of thinking. The tendency to label something as automatically bad or dismiss it simply because it doesn’t perfectly align with one’s own values is disheartening. It promotes a polarized mindset that inhibits productive discussions. It’s important to develop resilience and understand that it’s okay for someone to hold a different viewpoint without it being a personal attack.
