“I was on a plane recently and was listening to the Lucy Dacus episode of gayotic (one of my personal faves) as well as your music for most of the flight. At one point we had some pretty bad turbulence and the plane started violently shaking. I was sitting next to my sister who is scared of flying and fully thought we were going to die so I took out my headphones and tried to reassure her. We then sat in silence for about 20 minutes whilst the plane was still shaking. Long story short everything was fine and my sister informed me that she had been praying the entire time and believed that’s why we were okay. I, on the other hand, had been reciting the lyrics of silk chiffon over and over in my head for most of that time. I would like to add as a side note that I do this regularly as a sort of affirmation when I’m stressed lol. Anyways I think it’s so funny that in a high stress situation like that, when my straight sister turned to God, I turned to my gay gods Katie, Naomi and Josette. Thank you guys for saving me from a plane crash I love your music and the pod xoxo”
