“I’m a queer trans guy, and I recently had top surgery after waiting for 8 years. I was a little nervous as I didn’t know what to expect, and I don’t like staying overnight in hospitals. One thing that got me through the day was the fact my surgery was on a Wednesday and I knew there would be a new video episode of Gayotic for me to watch shortly after I woke up. Sure enough, I got out of surgery and was taken back to my room just before the episode was due to premiere at 4pm UK time. I was a little loopy from the anaesthesia and pain killers but having a new Gayotic episode to keep me company right as I got out of surgery gave me something to focus on and look forward to. Thank you for doing what you do and sharing your message. I’m now a week post-op and recovering well.”
