Needs more summarizing/editing
The history lessons themselves (especially prior to ~2017) are good, they give a lot of information on the discussed topic and are especially good at breaking down often convoluted comics timelines in a way that makes sense. Unfortunately more and more fluff has been added in over time, to the point where episodes have gotten way longer and are typically only about 50% the lesson, 25% banter and off-topic tangents, and 25% ads and self-promotion. I respect the hustle, but the amount of talking about their Patreon and various side projects is absurd. I don’t know of any other podcast that has nearly as much or that has the same air of entitlement, and it is sprinkled through the episode rather than grouped in one place.
