“I’m a casual listener. Just tuned into the latest episode with Sara Dietschy as the guest.
The hosts obviously play up to their roles, being a bit silly at times, for the purpose of entertainment and I get it. You need that in a podcast to keep things interesting.
I also get that Prosser intentionally acts the way he does, with the aim of adding a comedic element.
However, I find that he has a tendency to derail any meaningful conversations around tech far too frequently.
The latest episode literally just descended into incoherent shrieks and screams, with annoying sound bites played about 5 times in a row. It wasn’t funny at all and I can guarantee it would have turned other listeners away.
Maybe I’m wrong but it feels like Sam is nearly always trying to bring the conversation back into focus, as do the guests.
I genuinely want to see both the guys succeed, make their moves to LA and expand their respective channels.
They absolutely can do this but if Prosser continues to act like a child for 99% of the discussion and always relies on Sam to add the professionalism, he’ll end up just diminishing their collective reputation within the tech community.”
