Today’s guest is Sarah Khan, an award-winning travel journalist who has reported for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Traveler, and others from six different continents. Her work also appears in ‘The Best American Travel Writing 2021’ and the New York Times’ ’36 Hours: 150 Cities from Abu Dhabi to Zurich’. After eight years as a freelance journalist, Sarah recently joined Condé Nast Traveller Middle East as their Editor-in-Chief. Today’s conversation with Sarah reflects on her path and how it prepared her for her current role. She also shares some savvy advice for aspiring journalists looking to build their portfolios and develop some of the crucial connections that make freelancing a reality.
