“I’ve arrived at a point where I am less inclined to pay heed to the recommendations given. It does not appear that books are put forward for being great, but rather instead because they checked the ‘appropriate’ boxes under GENDER, ETHNICITY, and SEXUAL PREFERENCE. I skip through most of the show hoping to catch a glimpse of some read outside of their usual trope. But alas, I believe it time to pack in my rod & reel.
