One of the best podcasts for several reasons
I’ve never before been remotely interested in clandestine ops, CIA or anything of the kind. Just happened to bump into this because of my interest in Italy. But Matt proves to be a very talented storyteller with his wry dark humour and sincere commentary. Not only is the research deep and thorough, the storytelling is apparently carefully planned over several episodes and series. Everything is compellingly weaved together to bring an increasingly interesting podcast, telling a tale of the origins and machinations of the forces of intelligence networks and the likes. The podcast brings fascinating nuance to many times untold lines of historical inquiries of very dark political ventures. Last but not least the podcast has an amazing original soundtrack and behind a substantial amount of the music is none other than Matt himself. Impressive, to say the least.
