“Murder mystery and ghost stories aside, has anyone ever thought that maybe the family streak of intellectual accomplishments come from their maternal side? Why not consider Naomi Dancy to be the revered ancestor in the family?! She was a careered doctor and bread winner… in the 1920s!! Come on. That’s pretty extraordinary. Women just got the vote in 1918. She seemed like quite the trailblazer. An amazing woman by all accounts. Why every single one of them continue to cling on to this fabled (and self aggrandizing) image of the great grandfather is frankly irritating.”
