Dr Stuart Jones is a Senior Lecturer at the University of South Wales, and here he discussed the challenges of production and distribution of food in the UK, as an expert synopsis for the Global Governance iTunes U and MSc courses. Dr Jones sits on several steering and advisory groups for local and national initiatives and am a board member of Community Development Cymru. His research interests have been focussed on the interface between Community Regeneration and Sustainable Development. Jones has a particular interest in the role of community food initiatives in the development of sustainable food systems.
