How I Spend My Day
I don’t listen to too many podcasts. Why? Because I’m a stay-at-home-mom with stay-at-home-kids (#covid-19) and just about every 67 seconds someone is calling me. 2/10 times I need to be able to hear them. Anyway. Since I’m not a huge consumer of podcasts, I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this one. Probably after going down a self-help rabbit hole on the inter webs. I think I googled “how to stay sane under lockdown.” Anyway. I turned the corner on the information super highway and found this podcast. I listened to the first episode and then the second and then the third. I didn’t stop. For 4 days I binged listened to the comedic genius and the liberating honesty and advice shared here. By the end of the week I decided I needed AirPods. Now I walk around the house with my AirPods all day long. And I laugh. All day long. When my husband sees me wandering the house snorting, he says “go help yourself.” And then I say, “go F yourself.” And then I realize he was actually asking, “go help yourself?” Oops. Anyway. This is the best podcast in the internet. I think. I’m not sure. I don’t listen to too many podcasts. But this one made me buy AirPods because .... you know, #explicit. And f ing awesome. I’m a stay at home mom with stay at home kids. And it’s covid. This podcast is how I help myself get through the day.

They lost me with their lack of critical thinking around controversial topics and their promotion of tolerance whilst ironically being intolerant. I got a little unsettled when they...Read full review »

This is great for several reasons: I absolutely do not have time to read every book on my list to improve my life. I always pretend that I do, and then feel guilty when I don’t get to them (Is there a self-help book for that? As if I’d get around to reading it...). It’s great to know that there...Read full review »
