Fulfilling Promises & Taking Action!
Thank you for making me TAKE ACTION! While listening to Episode 3 of Go To Gal where Nathan Berry was the guest. Nathan was talking about the journey of his first eBook and how much he was wanting to make off that eBook. And the numbers stuck with me... In August 2018 I launched an eBook, “Establishing Math Workshop in the Middle Grades”, that I was super proud of and was so elated to have out there for others. Upon its launch I was super pleased that it even sold much less about 50 times in the first month with an email list of around 5k. Come January 2019 the sales had died down. I was listening to the episode on the way home from a conference that I had presented & exhibited at, and actually sold the first PRINT COPY of that book. It was surreal that someone wanted that information SO MUCH they would buy the actual book. So Nathan mentioned how we have to fulfill our promises and I knew my book could fulfill so much for teachers if I just told them about it. I opened up the notes app on my phone right then and there and started typing out an email. Never mind the fact that I was riding home from this conference and it was 9pm. Copied it on over to ConvertKit and added links all on my phone and scheduled it to go out the next morning. When I woke up I woke up to sales! What? Where had these people been for the last 6 months? What made this email different? I even made a Instagram & Facebook post about the feeling of selling my first published book and it made it sell even more! Within the one week from the sending of that email I earned almost $700 in sales on the eBook alone. That was more than I had earned to date! All because of an interview with Nathan Berry where I felt that I was chilling and drinking my hot cocoa with you. Thank you SO VERY MUCH! Jennifer Jochen SmithCurriculumConsulting.com
