Katie launched KBJ Anderson Consulting in 2013, to help individuals and organizations gain clarity on their goals, deepen their problem solving skills, and develop more effective leadership habits. Katie has 20 years of experience in supporting change and improvement in organizations across a range of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, academia, biotech, government, start-ups, and business. Her professional focus since 2006 has been on leading transformational change in healthcare organizations and other industries. Katie is an independent consultant who has a broad network of other coaches and consultants with whom I collaborate to support clients. Prior to founding KBJ Anderson Consulting, she held senior Lean leadership roles at the Sutter – Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Stanford Children’s Health; was a Fulbright Scholar to Australia and a consultant for PwC Australia; and worked as a research analyst at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of Sydney. In addition to consulting and coaching, she is a faculty member of Catalysis (formerly the Thedacare Center for Healthcare Value) and the Lean Enterprise Institute, where I teach coaching and problem-solving workshops. Katie also coach Master’s students in the Fisher School of Business MBOE program and am the facilitator for the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) San Francisco Bay Area Consortium. In addition, she serves as a Member of the Board for the Mother’s Milk Bank and a Member of the Quality and Patient Experience Board Committee at El Camino Hospital. Katie is currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area and travel regularly to Japan, where she lived for eighteen months from 2015-2016, and other cities in the U.S. and around the world.
