“Iโll be honest, I almost stopped listening & unsubscribed during the Dorothy Scott episode because even though I assume the intention was good, it started sounding really judgmental toward Dorothy for not contacting the police. Luckily, Heath finally added what Iโm sure a bunch of us were yelling toward our phones while listening โthe police donโt do anything when we call about this sort of thing!โ Yes, they are getting a lot better about it especially in the last few years, but for a disturbingly long time, unless we were physically assaulted or killed, most of the time we were told โsorry, call us when he finally gets you.โ I totally understand the logic of thinking that itโs good to make reports so that there is a history / paper trail that might help (too late to help us, but might help in prosecuting your attacker), but I also know how disheartening, frustrating, and helpless it feels to be told โsorry ๐คทโโ๏ธโ when youโre already terrified. So I was very glad when this side of things were acknowledged by Heath. I hope you see this review as I intended it, to be constructive - and I appreciate your time in reading it. Other than that, great show, well researched, focused, looking forward to future episodes!”
