“I’m delighted to say that listening to the podcast brings back all the great memories of watching Italian football after Gazza had moved to Lazio. It was my first introduction to James Richardson and watching him review the sports papers, on pink paper if memory serves. It was enlightening for me to see football presented by someone who had genuine interest joined to an unequaled dexterity with language. To this day we’re still being fed ex players who either can’t write or are dreadful broadcasters. I for one don’t know why AC Jimbo isn’t presenting Football Focus as well as a good few others. I really enjoy the history lessons this podcast does and along with two of my favourite journalists unwrapping all things football in Italy.”
