“I used to enjoy this podcast very much but ever since Spotify bought this network the addition of background music and sounds is distracting and irritating. Think about what you want the listener to hear, the background music/sounds or the narration? I think the two narrators/voice artists are excellent and I like to hear their voices. I was very interested in the latest episode on the Walt Whitman notebooks but I could barely hear them at times because of the irritating background sound effects and music. Same goes for your unexplained mystery series and all your other podcasts. Please, use them sparingly!”

The host don’t interact with each other there’s no commentary between them they take turns reading from a script and it’s off putting somehow artificial.
