Funniest Comics Interviewed by Least Funny Human
Like an autistic person desperate to understand human emotions, Jesse David Fox presses America’s funniest comedians to explain how humor works. After dozens of hours of these hilarious people explaining to Fox exactly how to construct humorous sentence compilations, Fox’s attempts at humor remain as lame as they were in the first episode. This is typified by the enduring “Laughning Round,” which when identically explained to each comedian as like a lightning round, but about comedy, results in some of the most awkward moments in podcast history as comedic experts politely acknowledge that Fox has attempted humor. Due to this vacuna of humor where it might exist, I must deduct one star. The comics themselves are fantastic and patient and their stories and explanations collectively form a gold mine for an aspiring comedian. Despite his complete inability to be humorous, Jesse David Fox seems like a lovely man and he is excellent at extracting everything one needs to know about how to be funny from those who know best.

This is absolutely my favorite podcast. It’s like watching “How It’s Made”...except instead of Jellybeans and Escalator Handrails...it’s Jokes and Bits.
