Oxford City Council: Big Money for Oxford EV Charging
Listen now
Description
The city of Oxford is about to have, more than a few new electric avenues. The £800,000 project, funded the UK government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles, is making it easier for residents to own electric cars by installing 100 on-street charging points in rather surprising places. From 'cable-gullies' to high tech smart lamp posts, Elizabeth Bohun, from Oxford City Council, explains how the project is set to put Oxfordshire at the forefront of innovative low carbon transport solutions. Technology suppliers and Oxford residents who would like to be involved in the trial should contact Oxford City Council’s environmental team by emailing [email protected]
