Truly decadent conversations
I’m finally sitting down to write this review and perhaps the first thing I should mention is that I’m actually not a routine podcast listener. I’ve always been much more drawn to audiobooks and following long stories that take me elsewhere (escapism maybe?). But this podcast has converted me and I really look forward to the rich and decadent conversations Kate shares each week. What drew me to this podcast was Kate’s voice as I’ve heard it through Instagram and the fact that the curiosity and interests she shares online have a much more in-depth capacity in this form. I’ve always been interested in agriculture and food/nutrition and have worked on and off in these industries, so naturally this was bound to be a fit for me; however I’ve been so pleasantly surprised and delighted at the additional topics explored here. Just when you think, oh this episode will be about “fat” or “salt” or “joy”, you realize the journey is taking you to unexpected, vital, and interesting corners you’d never thought to explore. I find myself thinking about the conversation often afterwards and interested to continue exploring on my own. In short, I can’t recommend this podcast enough. Every episode taps into so much more than what can be relayed through a title, so listen to them all. I’m so glad I have and thank you, Kate, for sharing your thoughts, questions and, passions with us.

I never miss an episode because I’m always in the mood to chew the FAT.

In the Josh Curtiss episode she had me with the quote about love in the beginning. Such a...Read full review »

These long form interviews and conversations with Kate never feel forced. They move freely from the practical and economic to the deeper philosophical and spiritual aspects of living through this tipping point. The questions are well thought out and require the guest to offer more of themselves...Read full review »
