“Diana is clearly deeply passionate about growing food. I love this, seriously awesome and I hope she does more. But having a platform comes with responsibility to provide accurate information. The advice about pH6.5-6.8 being alkaline is incorrect. The recommendation to make plastic butterflies to deter cabbage moths when plants are attacked is useless if you’re already infested, you need to remove caterpillars by hand or apply Dipel (bacillus thuringiensis) or your crop is gone. Soil health and microbes are badly damaged if you dig and turn over your soil as recommended (contradicts advice to mulch and protect microbes). Yes, banana peels will add organic matter but very little potassium nutrition to soil. Seaweed solution is not high in nitrogen. This review may sound harsh or overly critical but I really want Diana to be successful and the gardeners she advises to similarly succeed. Growing food is amazing and rewarding. All the best to you Diana.”
