Loves Hang Up and Listen
Each week I get to spend an hour (roughly) with three of the best sports reporter/thinkers in the business. Instead of hyperbole and bombast, they rely on observation and discussion. It is a wonderful listening experience! I particularly enjoyed the segment a few years ago about an article on what it was like to be an African-American athlete earlier in the 20th century. Very thought provoking and enjoyable. I recommend this podcast to anyone, regardless of whether you are an avid sports fan or someone who simply is interested in sports as an aspect of culture.

Josh, Mike, and Stefan have supplanted the Political Gabfest as my new favorite podcast. Keep it up and keep me engaged in sports while football is in the off-season!! PS - Still love the Thursday show, John Dickerson is the greatest political correspondent in the business today.

This instantly became my most anticipated show from Slates distinguished lineup of stellar shows/gabfests. It's like an extended NPR sports piece with Fatsis and Pesca here. And the chemistry is great. Thank you!Read full review »
