“Melissa has written a book, done a TV series, and she says it’s to tell her story. Fair enough, she has that right and I do understand why she did those. But at some point, I start wondering how many times she has to tell her story before it becomes exploitative.
The families of her father’s victims are still alive, and it has got to be painful for them to have this story told over and over. This incarnation seems especially questionable because it sounds like it’s being told as some kind of ghost story, in other words, purely for entertainment.
Beyond all that, it’s just not well put together. There’s a lack of a cohesive structure to the first episode, making it all really hard to follow. It feel like a bunch of the ads strung together.”
