Good but could be better
I came across a video of the podcast and I thought the concept was interesting. I listened to the episode about grindr and dating and I agree with the boys however, I felt the perspective was just very……..white. They acknowledged changing ourselves to fit constructed identities (essentialist notions) which is fair but I feel if you’re going to talk about how wrong it is we judge people on their appearance and throw in words like “fetish”, then you need to address the discrimination and fetishisation black, brown and asian people face on top of trying to mould ourselves into the other categories within the LGBTQ+ community. And if you’re not educated on the subject enough to speak on it, then you need to bring on someone who is. For example, the one guy complained about being called a twink but not being skinny enough to define himself as a twink and I’m just thinking, it must be nice that’s your biggest concern. Mind you, there’s black and brown people skin bleaching and shaving their entire body to try and conform to white standards. It just felt very much like to white guys complaining about discrimination which is okay because I’m not trying to undermine however they feel or whatever they’ve experienced, but it just wasn’t well rounded in the way it could have been. It’s a gateway to a much bigger conversation for sure.

A great opening show on a very pertinent topic. As a 65 yo latecomer to the game, I’m interested in learning how to better integrate my sexuality with the rest of my life. Thanks!

Being gay and not conforming to or fit into the stereotypes this is a great conversation to be having. Thank you both.

Such a fantastic concept and I absolutely love you two!! I love that this was very conversational between two friends. Granted, those friends are boyfriends, but it felt like you brought us into the conversation. It was extremely enjoyable like we are sitting there with you. Great job!
