“The historical aspect of the podcast is great. The paranormal side, like anything paranormal, is just extraordinary claims without extraordinary evidence. Amy and her guests have grocery lists of fantastical things they have experienced, but no receipts. Take Kindred Spirits, 9 times out of 10 it’s a muffled sound and they claim it said X, Y, and Z. You can find just about anything if you go looking for it. If the entire length of the podcast were dedicated to the history of these places, it would be fantastic.
It’s possible that even Amy, deep down inside, doesn’t believe it most or all of what she peddles. She laughs after every other thing she says, as if out of nervousness. It doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.”
