“I learned about healing justice while attending a book reading by Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of BLM when she spoke about what it means to have language and practice to make deep and regular effort to heal ourselves and our communities while pushing for the kinds of justice that will also bring healing to our people. The goal is healing, and the path as well. Being involved in social justice movements in 2018 can make one feel so hopeless and ground down, full of rage and deep fear. This is about uplifting and supporting ourselves and each other. Because this struggle will be long and hard and we only have ourselves and each other.”
