Description
If you are interested in the slides to the presentation or references please feel free to drop us a line. And if this has motivated you to advocate for older women health worker rights, consider the following. First, acknowledge and recognize older women health workers in your daily sphere to better understand topical issues. Once you know these incidences you can engage your local and global communities to highlight these issues, organize public awareness campaigns and demand that health workers can share concerns relating to safety with the public without undue employer influence. You can reach out to your policy makers to make sure they are including specific legal protections for older women health workers, providing adequate funding, providing social protection, and rethinking training and capacity through the eyes and experiences of frontline older women health workers. Also, involve the education sectors and employers - it is vital to ensure they include legal literacy in health worker educational curriculum including continuous education curriculums. And, that they are designing effective continuing education and certification programs and developing effective support systems for health workers including the normalizing of mental health interventions and access to whistleblower protections to promote accountability and transparency. #HLIPodcast #HealthLaw #HealthWorkers #Dignity4HW #HW4HSS #olderhealthworkers #gender #olderwomenhealthworkers #retentionpolicies #careerprogression
