“This series does an amazing job capturing the difficult feelings (fear, loneliness, embarrassment, overwhelm, etc.) that kids experience during middle school. Their interactions with each other are alternately awkward, mean, or validating. The main character is very relatable and likeable, and also has a couple of tragic flaws. A very moving story.”
