Ready for the Podcast!!
One stranger that I still remember to this day was an elderly man I met when I worked for a grocery shopping service about a year ago. This man gave me an extensive list of supplies to bring to him, some of which the store didn’t carry or did not have at the time. I called and texted him constantly when I was at the store, explaining the dilemma but he didn’t seem to have his phone with him at the time. I was pretty confused why the man wasn’t answering my calls or if he was okay. When I got to his house and placed his groceries by the door, he came out and greeted me with a big smile and a $10 tip in his left hand. As I set his groceries down one by one, he created conversation with me and smiled the entire time. Our conversation lasted half an hour or so until I realized I had another order and had to rush back to the store. Before I left, he said “Thank you for sitting and talking to me, it’s been a while since anyone’s done that with me.” Suddenly a conversation that I didn’t think too much of, turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences. Also wanted to add that I love watching Thoraya’s Youtube videos and I have for about two years now. Excited for this podcast and I look forward to more videos!! ig: dina.mousavii
