An Argentinian writer who had unprecedented success in 1905 thanks to her novel “Stella”, published under the pen name César Duayen. After revealing her identity, she took women to the public sphere for the first time. In the plot of her story, Emma exposed society’s prejudice, claiming a more active role for women and equality in education.
