“I was first introduced to Wesley via his Great War podcast (which is also excellent). He presents a wonderful level of insightful analysis rather than simply restating the same tired old dates and events that most of us probably already know.
As someone interested in history the reason I am listening to this podcast about such a well known even is precisely because I want to understand the nuances and analysis around what happened and why, which is what Wesley excels at.
Also, to top it off, he just seems like a really lovely human being. Everything from his habit of buying drinks for fans when he meets them to not obnoxiously trying to ram a patreon subscription down our throats every episode. He simply states that he has a patreon which provides access to more episodes and that if that interests you then feel free to subscribe. As a result of his sincerity and lack of “hard selling” he is the only podcast I actually subscribe to.”
