Monasticism
I was disappointed that so little attention was given to female monastic orders, and their unique contributions to western history and society. Specifically the teaching and nursing orders that contributed significantly to the idea of public schools for all and public hospitals. There was also no mention of the desert mothers, so the story as tall seems like a very male story, when, in truth, that’s not quite the case.
