Unfortunately, Kurt was not ready for the public scrutiny that came along with being a literal rock god. Kurt couldn’t handle the notoriety that being famous brought. In the midst of a tumultuous marriage to wife and fellow rockstar, Courtney Love, Kurt’s body was located at his home in Seattle on April 8, 1994.  Seattle Police Department were quick to deem Kurt’s death a suicide.
