In 1995 Elisa Izquierdo was a beautiful, vibrant, loving six-year-old little girl living in Brooklyn, New York. After suffering the tragic loss of the only person who had Elisa’s best interests at heart, the state made the decision to place Elisa in the care of the person who would ultimately end her short life. This person was the one person who should have loved Elisa and fiercely protected her; however, exactly the opposite happened.
