“In response to the recent reviews - that was hardly a rant, it was a three part conversation about the various ways ‘the bells’ episode could be read - feelings may be running high, that’s the nature of the show, it plays with our emotions in an almost sadistic fashion. Personally I was grateful to hear the arguments against the logic of Dany ‘losing it’.
For my take, I felt D had always demonstrated a vengeful nature - maybe she only killed the (mostly) bad people on her rise to power, but she certainly seemed to revel in their suffering. In that moment her vengeful side (and tactical side as the podcast discussion raises) weren’t satisfied by a surrender.
But so great to hear counter arguments expressed so passionately, and what amazingly realised characters that should elicit such heat felt responses. Thanks team, keep up the good work!”
