Description
In this episode, on home and housing, I heard from people that had moved back in with their parents as adults, chat about what makes somewhere a home and discuss how the cost of housing has changed since my Grandma was my age. I also chatted to Emma, from the youth homelessness charity Depaul UK, who gave us an insight into the most common causes of homelessness, where to start if we're worried about housing problems and how we can help. Emma also provided me with links to information on the extent of UK homelessness, and on the often overlooked issue of hidden homelessness. Information about the charity Depaul UK can be found here. How Do I Adult is an 8-episode podcast series, speaking to a variety of people in my life about their opinions and experiences of adulthood, as well as a few experts on particular topics. Each episode will cover a different aspect of the adult world, such as relationships, money, education and friendships and will be released weekly on Wednesdays. Artwork by Amelia Landles.
