Good, basic advice but too much emphasis given to financial planners
I enjoy listening to this podcast as it is relatable and breaks topics down in a way that even someone with very little financial knowledge can understand. What I don’t agree with is Canna saying, in relation to every single topic, that you should seek help from a financial planner. Financial planners are not some oracle of advice and they do not have all encompassing knowledge! Like any profession, there are good ones (like I’m sure Canna was) and there are bad ones, so they are not guaranteed to provide good advice. A lot of the time people would be better off doing their own research and making an informed decision rather than paying money to see a financial planner in the first instance. I understand that there has to be a disclaimer, but perhaps the constant recommendation to consult a financial planner could be dialled down.

This is my new favourite podcast. Micheal & Canna work so well together to produce an exceptional show each week. Their approaches are balanced and the information is accessible and action oriented. I look forward to this podcast each week. Keep doing what you’re doing, guys! Thank you 🙂
